Hey everyone, I hope you’re having an amazing day today. Today, we’re going to prepare a special dish, chili. It is one of my favorites. This time, I will make it a bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

This is the chili recipe the gang eats at Purdue Boilermaker football games. I always prep and cook the chili the night before and then reheat the next day. This is a combination of many different tomato-based chili recipes. Place the ground beef in a large pot and throw in the garlic.

Chili is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It’s appreciated by millions every day. It is easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. They’re nice and they look fantastic. Chili is something which I have loved my entire life.

The ingredients needed to make Chili:
  1. Prepare 2 lb Ground Beef
  2. Take 1 lb Good Quality Bacon, chopped
  3. Make ready 1 large Yellow Onion, diced
  4. Make ready 1 large Red Bell Pepper, Roasted & Chopped
  5. Prepare 1 large Yellow Bell Pepper, Roasted & Chopped
  6. Take 2 can 15 oz Diced Tomatoes
  7. Get 3 can 8 oz Tomato Sauce
  8. Prepare 2 can Red Kidney Beans
  9. Take 4 clove Garlic, diced
  10. Prepare 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
  11. Get 1/2 tsp Oregano
  12. Prepare 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  13. Take 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  14. Get 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  15. Take 8 oz Good Dark Beer
  16. Prepare 1 Salt & Pepper to taste
  17. Get 1 tbsp Butter
  18. Take 2 Turns of the pan with olive oil.

It is so simple and has SO much flavor. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, cayenne (if using), and season generously with salt and pepper. Pour in kidney beans and crushed tomatoes and bring chili to a boil. Being in Texas, chili is a staple on the few cold days we have each year.

Steps to make Chili:
  1. In a large stock pot, add bacon to heated olive oil and butter.
  2. While waiting for bacon to get slightly crisp. Roast Bell Peppers in oven on broil. I lightly coated them in olive oil to keep them moist.
  3. Remove bacon. And place to side for later. Add onion to same pot. Don't remove bacon grease. This will add a depth of flavor. Saute until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef to onions and brown.
  5. Add all spices. Cumin, oregano, chili powder, garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt & pepper. Stir.
  6. After letting it cook for a 2 or 3 minutes. Add the dark beer. Work the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. Get all that flavor off the bottom. Believe me you want to do this.
  7. Let the beer cook out. When there is only a little bit left. Salt and pepper again.
  8. Add beans, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes, roasted(chopped) peppers. Add bacon back in.
  9. Let simmer for 30 minutes.
  10. I grated sharp cheddar cheese. And topped my bowl with sour cream, cheese, chopped scallions, and oyster crackers.

Pour in kidney beans and crushed tomatoes and bring chili to a boil. Being in Texas, chili is a staple on the few cold days we have each year. This is something I've come up with after years of trying to perfect an easy-to-make and delicious chili. This is a very spicy chili and the perfect meal for a chilly day. The beans are optional here as they traditionally aren't found in Texas chili.
